Pursuing Prayer

Jul 7, 2020

With the Covid-19 lockdown slowly easing here in Uganda, Good Shepherd’s Fold staff are back on campus with protective health measures in place. GSF ministries are active, but the programs look different: schools are still closed, access to the children’s residences is kept to essential staff, and campus events are restricted due to limits on gathering sizes.

As we navigate a new normal for the ministry, we are seeking God’s guidance in fulfilling our vision of thriving families, transformed communities for Christ. How long do we relieve surrounding villages with food supplies? How do we support sustainable growth in the families and communities? In the midst of Covid-19, how do we minister in obedience that brings glory to God?

GSF is in the midst of three weeks of prayer and planning for the second half of the year, which looks radically different from the plans that were set for this year.  Before diving into a fresh approach to our 2020 goals, we are pursuing prayer. Would you join us as we seek the Lord?

1. Pray for humility to listen to the needs of our community and to lovingly share God’s word and resources when appropriate and needed.
2. Pray for creativity from the Lord as we strategize to reach the school students while observing directives from the government of Uganda.
3. Pray for wisdom for the leaders of GSF as we review and strategically refresh our objectives for 2020.

Thank you for praying with us through this season!
