GSF Community Development seeks to transform communities by engaging, supporting, and empowering the members of surrounding villages. We believe the gospel transforms communities, and it is within the context of relationships that we see faith, hope, dignity, and love gain root. Our approach to community development is relational and in partnership with local churches.
Our Community Development team teaches Farming God’s Way (FGW) in order to provide help and discipleship for those in need. What is Farming God’s Way? FGW is an agricultural training program that teaches Biblical principles, farming technology, and farm management. In an agrarian society, this kind of resource is especially valuable for food security and sustainable income.
We are currently working alongside 30 vulnerable families who have now established gardens at their houses using FGW methods. The Community Development team is also partnering with 12 churches to provide this training to its congregations. This sustainable means of farming provides both physical and spiritual transformation, all for the glory of God.
It is through partners like you that we are able to offer the help of Farming God’s Way and the hope of the gospel. Thank you for your part in cultivating God’s love here in Uganda!
