Witnessing GSF staff grow from fulfilling job descriptions to becoming vision and mission bearers of the ministry is beautiful. Perhaps one of the most remarkable examples if this is the annual staff outreach.
Every year, GSF staff coordinate with a local pastor to identify a spiritual and physical need in the community. The staff then collectively and sacrificially give of their personal resources to meet the need.
Last week, fifteen staff members delivered soap, sugar, tea, and clothes to a hurting community. The outreach was not just for the sake of giving “stuff” but also for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. Over 200 people who had been identified by a local pastor as both physically and spiritually vulnerable gathered to hear the gospel through the book of John.
God turned hearts of stone to hearts of flesh, and 46 individuals accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Since the outreach was in partnership with a local pastor, the 46 new believers will continue to receive discipleship as they engage with the local church.
We believe the heavens are rejoicing. The GSF staff fulfilled a tremendous need for the glory of God, and we praise the Lord for all He is accomplishing through them!
