Emma was once in residence at GSF. He came to GSF with undiagnosed Down’s Syndrome and a problem with his heart. Emma was falling behind developmentally and needed some help to catch up. With the help of therapists, Emma learned how to walk at four years old and began growing and thriving.
Emma’s family loved Emma and wanted to learn how to care for him well. GSF connected his family to another local organization that taught them all about how to care for Emma. His grandmother says that throughout the experience, she “learned so much about love and that people really care for her and Emma.”
Emma is now reintegrated and lives with his grandmother. He is known around their local village for his love of music and the joy he brings to every occasion.
