So Many Stories: A 2018 End-Of-Year Newsletter

So Many Stories

Pictures of redemption are beautiful stories! The challenge is, with so many stories, sharing just one doesn’t give an adequate picture. Here is the overwhelming story I love about GSF…

Every week, out here in the sugar cane fields of Uganda, people’s lives are transformed. We share these stories on Facebook, Instagram and e-mail, but none of that does justice to the reality of changed lives.

Over 360 students are gaining much more than basic knowledge in the GSF Nursery and Primary School. Feeding programs for elderly and at-risk babies impact 50 families with much more than nourishment for their stomachs.

Farming, Literacy and Tailoring schools are giving dozens of lives valuable life skills. Family Life Groups train the family members of resident children with financial and business management, wise parenting skills, trauma healing and the gospel.

There are 32 students currently pursuing secondary and higher education thanks to the GSF Scholarship Program. I don’t know how many hundreds of people get clean water from the GSF supply taps. And, of course, there is our heartbeat for 68 children currently in residence in the children’s home.

The gospel is integrated into each and every aspect of this ministry here – what does it profit to feed, teach, train, clotheor give medicine without thetransformative power of the gospel?

As Team Leader, I repeatedly see reports and requisitions indicating this sentiment: “We could do more if…”

My desire is to spur on over 100 staff members with the resources to pursue their high calling. Will you join me in that pursuit?
